Deputy Director of Protective Services

The Deputy Director of Protective Services acts as the Executive Officer of the Protective Services Department within the Texas Nationalist Movement (TNM). This pivotal role involves managing and coordinating the security functions of TNM, ensuring the safety of its events, leadership, and members. The Deputy Director will oversee risk assessments, implement safety protocols, and support the Director of Protective Services in maintaining a secure environment for the organization. This role is instrumental in safeguarding TNM’s mission by ensuring secure operations at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in Department Leadership: Support the Director of Protective Services in managing all departmental activities, ensuring alignment with TNM’s goals and protocols.
  • Event Security Management: Oversee the planning and execution of security measures for TNM’s events, rallies, and public gatherings.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk analyses for TNM events and operations, advising on necessary precautions and mitigations.
  • Crisis Management: Respond to and manage security incidents, ensuring swift action to protect TNM’s people and assets.
  • Team Coordination: Supervise the Protective Services team, including the training and deployment of personnel for events and projects.
  • Collaboration Across Departments: Work closely with other TNM departments to ensure safety and security are integrated into all organizational activities.
  • Policy Implementation: Enforce security policies and guidelines, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.

Estimated Time Requirements

  • Regular Duties: 10–15 hours per week for planning, coordination, and communication.
  • Special Events: Additional 10–20 hours during major TNM events or emergencies.

Skills/Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in security operations, law enforcement, or risk management.
  • Strong leadership and crisis management skills.
  • Ability to conduct detailed risk assessments and develop actionable safety plans.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies.
  • Level 3 Security License or better

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating security for large-scale events or political organizations.
  • Knowledge of Texas laws and regulations related to public safety and security.
  • Background in training and managing security personnel.
